Carlos attended the Nuevo Leon State University School of Architecture in Monterrey, Mexico from 1995 to 2000, attaining a Bachelor of Architecture degree.

During vacation periods throughout his education, he worked with the Department of Public Works and Urban Development at city hall in his native town of Piedras Negras during the administration of Mayor Claudio Bres Garza, where he developed urban renewal design proposals and research. In 1998 he briefly joins ARDI Architects in Monterrey where he participated in the design and construction phases of night clubs.

After graduation, he begins his professional practice at the prestigious construction company MAIZ Transforma also in Monterrey, performing as on-site construction coordinator in projects such as McDonald’s playland, NEXTEL offices, Vitro Group offices, Las Palmas Industrial Park, H.E.B. grocery store expansion, among other projects.

In 2002 he travels to Europe in search of an academic program to enroll in to attain a Master studies degree, joining the Institute for Advance Architecture of Catalonia in beautiful Barcelona, Spain under the guidance of Manuel Gausa (Actar), and Vicente Guallar (Sociopolis), developing territorial conceptual and research projects in the Comarca del Maresme region just north of Barcelona, and the industrial corridor between Bello Horizonte and Vitoria, East of Brazil. The latter was presented to the region’s authorities in April 2004. During his stay in Barcelona he works Vicente Guallart’s studio participating in the “Taiwan by Design” architectural competition, obtaining firs prize with the projects of the Batoutz and Fugee wharf projects.

Upon his return to Mexico in mid 2004, he begins his solo practice with the development of the Littelfuse Company corporate offices in Piedras Negras in conjunction with Architect Rigobereto Navarro with whom he begins an ongoing professional relationship developing more than 40 projects together in residential, commercial and industrial fields.

In 2006 he joins PLADIS in Monterrey with the responsibility of on-site Architectural Coordinator for the “Punto Central” luxury mix-use complex in San Pedro Garza Garcia, Mexico. After a brief participation with renowned Project Management company PRISMA Proyectos in 2007 coordinating planning phase for a 136 unit luxury beach condo building, Carlos (finally) gets married and moves to great Austin, TX, where he continues to perform his own design work for customer back in near by Piedras Negras until 2011.

In 2006 he joins PLADIS in Monterrey with the responsibility of on-site Architectural Coordinator for the “Punto Central” luxury mix-use complex in San Pedro Garza Garcia, Mexico. After a brief participation with renowned Project Management company PRISMA Proyectos in 2007 coordinating planning phase for a 136 unit luxury beach condo building, Carlos (finally) gets married and moves to great Austin, TX, where he continues to perform his own design work for customer back in near by Piedras Negras until 2011.

In 2011, he joins Seating Concepts as Interior Designer and Business Developer in the hospitality industry, assisting customers in the Latin America and Caribbean markets.
